Current Color Craze

Composite decking colors have come a long way and we’re seeing more and more variations each year. Just this year, we launched a whole new line – Deckorators® Vault, with two color choices, and introduced two new streaked colors to our Vista line:

  • Vault Mesquite
  • Vault Dusk
  • Vista Ironwood
  • Vista Driftwood

Vista Driftwood

In addition to color, the biggest trend we’re seeing is variegation or streaking in the deck board. This look matches color variation typically found in natural wood, especially tropical hardwoods. Not only are these some of the best-looking deck boards on the market, but they also lend themselves to the low-maintenance benefits of composite decking. We find the variegated boards can hide scratches, scuffs and dirt better than solid colors can.

At Deckorators, we’ve seen a significant increase in demand in our variegated boards in recent years. This is especially true in 2016 since we released Vista Ironwood and Driftwood, which feature distinct color variation.

With decking trends constantly changing, we're excited to see what 2017 will have in store.
