This Old House magazine recently revealed its Top 100 Best New Home Products of 2016. Only one deck board made the respected magazine’s annual list of “game-changers” and “must-haves”: Deckorators Vault Decking.

Chosen by the publication’s editorial team, the Top 100 names the most innovative and forward-thinking products in seven categories. Deckorators Vault earned one of just 14 spots in the Best New Building Products of 2016 category.

“To create this year’s list, This Old House editors examined hundreds of home products and found the game-changers that we believe are must-haves,” said Susan Wyland, editor-in-chief of This Old House Magazine and

The decking industry introduced a myriad of new deck boards in 2016, but Deckorators Vault was the only one to make the This Old House Top 100. Vault stood out to the editorial staff for its patented mineral-based composite technology and unparalleled benefits.

“Unlike most composites, this decking has no wood fiber, just polypropylene and ground limestone,” the editors wrote in their Top 100 profile of Vault. “It’s stretched in the factory like hot taffy, a process that makes it stronger and more stable than standard composites.”

This Old House editors first noticed Deckorators Vault in early 2016, naming the product a “Handy Home Improvement Find” in their April issue and on ThisOldHouse. The magazine and website are companions to award-winning PBS television shows “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House.”

At Deckorators, we strongly believe in Vault decking and the technology behind it. Vault betters the experience of installing a premium deck, and offers homeowners a beautiful look and unmatched performance over time. We’re honored that a highly regarded publication like This Old House recognized how extraordinary Vault really is.
