Color Combinations for 2021

Composite decking choices continue to grow as manufacturers add color choices, features and longevity.

New for 2021, we have launched a whole new line of decking – Deckorators® Trailhead, with three color choices, and introduced two new colors to our Vista decking line:

• Trailhead Ridgeline
• Trailhead Pathway
• Trailhead Canyon
• Vista Silverwood
• Vista Dunewood

Picture Frame Borders for a Flair

In addition to color, another big trend we’re seeing is adding a single or double picture frame board. Our mineral-based composite (MBC) Picture Frame Board in Dark Slate is always a go-to option, as it pairs well with any decking color. If you are looking for a more unique combo, mixing grey tones with brown can be a stylish option to add a distinctive flair to your outdoor space.

Color Pairings for Your Home

Each of the new deck colors pairs well with many styles of home exteriors. Homes with a reddish-brown brick exterior or even neutral-colored siding pair well with both Trailhead Decking in Pathway or Canyon. 

Our Trailhead Decking in Canyon pairs well with both warm and cool-tone homes.

Both neutral and cooler-toned homes pair well with our Vista Decking in Silverwood. Add our ALX Contemporary Railing in White to complete the contemporary look.

However, don’t be afraid to pair warmer-tone decking with your neutral or cool-tone exterior. Our Vista Decking in Dunewood pairs well with many exterior colors, as well as our ALX Contemporary Cable Railing in Black.
