Certified Pro Lead Program

Elevate your business with our new Certified Pro Lead Program! This program allows you to automatically receive deck-building leads via email or text from Deckorators®.

Bluebird Account Login

You do not need to log in to Bluebird to receive or accept leads—leads are emailed or texted (if opted-in) directly to you. Logging in to your account does allow you to view, track, and manage all your leads in one place (see the 4th FAQ below for login details).

Customize Your Territory

Every account starts with a default 50-mile radius, but your business isn't one-size-fits-all. Narrow it down to a tighter radius, or hand-pick the specific cities and zip codes you actually serve — so every lead that comes your way is worth your time.

FAQs

Herse are answers to some questions that came up after our call introducing the lead program.

How can I tell if a lead is a good fit before accepting it?

Before accepting a lead, you’ll see Lead Hints that provide helpful context—showing where the project is located and what stage the homeowner is in with their deck plans—so you can decide if it’s the right fit for you. These include:

  • Location – The homeowner’s city, state, zip code, and country, so you can quickly confirm it’s within your service area.
  • Lead Source – How the homeowner engaged with Deckorators.com, such as ordering a sample, using the Deck Visualizer, or submitting a Connect with a Contractor form.
  • Build Preference – Whether the homeowner plans to hire a contractor, build it themselves, or is still undecided.
  • Lead Priority Tag – A quick indicator of homeowner readiness:
    - High: Ready to hire a contractor — best followed up with a phone call.
    - Mid: Undecided or planning a mix of contractor and self‑build — a call or email works well.
    - Low: Exploring products (such as ordering a sample) — a casual, introductory email is recommended.

You’re always in control of which leads you accept. Many contractors choose to engage with all leads and adjust their follow‑up based on priority—calling homeowners who are ready to move forward and emailing those who are still exploring to stay top‑of‑mind. This helps build relationships and keeps you visible for future opportunities.

What are lead priority tags and how should I use them?

Lead priority tags are part of the lead hints included with each lead delivered to you. They indicate where a homeowner is in their planning process, along with other helpful details such as location, lead source, and build preference.

These tags are designed to help you decide how quickly to follow up and which communication method is most appropriate. Not all leads are at the same stage, so priority levels provide guidance—not requirements—on how to engage.

Lead Engagement Tips by Priority Level:

High Priority - These homeowners have indicated they are ready to hire a contractor.
Recommended approach: A phone call and/or email may be the most effective way to connect and move the conversation forward.

Mid Priority
- Homeowners are still deciding or may be planning a mix of DIY and contractor work.
Recommended approach: A phone call or email works well to stay top-of-mind and offer support as they narrow down their plans.

Low Priority - Homeowners are primarily exploring products, such as requesting samples, and may be early in the planning phase.
Recommended approach: A casual, introductory email is ideal for making an initial connection.

Note: All leads come from users who have opted in to be contacted, ensuring relevance and compliance. If you prefer not to receive leads, let us know and we’ll remove you from the distribution list.

Can I change my lead mile radius or territory?

Yes. We can fully customize your lead territory to match where you want to work. This includes:

  • Adjusting your mile radius
  • Setting specific zip codes, counties, or states
  • Removing leads across state lines, if you prefer
  • Updating your lead timing preferences (such as weekdays only or no weekends)

To request any changes, just reach out to Stephanie Formsma or Raquel Schutzenhofer.

How are the leads generated?

Leads are generated through a variety of actions on Deckorators.com (i.e. requesting a Style Guide, ordering deck samples, using the Deck Designer, using the Deck Cost Calculator, filling out the Railing Materials Planner form, or filling out the Connect with a Contractor form).

What criteria are used to distribute leads in a given location?

The program is designed to prioritize opportunities for Certified Pros who are actively engaged and consistently using the lead program, while still ensuring fair access among eligible participants.
To remain active in the program and to continue receiving leads, we recommend you:

  • Accept or deny leads within the 2‑hour window.
  • Provide feedback in Bluebird when a lead isn’t the right fit.
  • Keep accepted lead statuses up to date (In Progress, Closed – Won, Closed – Lost).

Maintaining regular engagement helps ensure you remain well‑positioned to receive leads in your service area.

How can I start receiving my leads via text message?

All Certified Pros automatically receive lead notifications by email. If you’d also like to receive leads by SMS text message, you can opt in here: Text Opt-In Form.

How can I update the email or phone number where leads are sent?

To update your contact information, email Stephanie Formsma. Please include your name, company name, the email address, and phone number (if you wish to receive leads via text) that you’d like updated.
