Decking Samples

Through our Free Samples page, you can order up to 6 individual 3" deck board or Porch Flooring samples—or 1 pre-selected sample kit—shipped free (one order per household). You can also request our Outdoor Living Report and Style Guide, which provide inspiration, design ideas, and planning resources for your project.

Individual samples let you hand-pick up to 6 specific colors and textures from any Deckorators decking or porch flooring line. A sample kit is a pre-selected set that showcases a curated range of options. Choose individual samples if you’ve already narrowed your choices; go with a kit if you’re still exploring.

Once an order is placed, free samples generally arrive within 6–10 business days for U.S. customers and up to 2 weeks for Canadian customers. Customers receive a series of notification emails after placing an order, including shipment tracking. Please note that delivery times may vary by location.

Deckorators samples are cut from the same production boards that customers install on their deck, so the color, texture, and feel accurately reflect the finished product. For best results, view samples outdoors in natural light, since lighting conditions can affect how colors appear.

Place samples in the area where your deck or porch will be installed and view them at different times of day. Compare them against your home’s exterior, trim, and surrounding materials. Natural light, shade, and nearby colors all influence how a board looks in real-world conditions.
